Croatia will buy 89 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles from the United States. Yesterday, January 27, the press service of the American Embassy in Croatia reported that the Croatian government approved the final plan for the purchase of American armored vehicles in the amount of $196 million.
Croatia has been negotiating with the United States to acquire the Bradley BMP since 2017. At the same time, the terms of the potential transaction have been repeatedly revised. In the final version, the following conditions are announced: the transaction value is $196 million, including an American "donation" of $51 million; 89 armored personnel carriers will be delivered in the Bradley M2A2 ODS (Operation Desert Storm) modification, of which 62 vehicles will be prepared for combat operations, 5 for training, 22 as spare parts donors; deliveries will begin in 2023.

2 Bradley is an amphibious infantry fighting vehicle developed by United Defense in the 70s. The crew of the BMP consists of three people, the vehicle can carry up to six infantrymen in the landing compartment. Bradley infantry fighting vehicles were actively used by the Americans in both Iraqi campaigns. It is known that during the Iraq War, which lasted from 2003 to 2011, Bradley destroyed more armored vehicles than Abrams tanks. In addition to the US Army, Bradley infantry fighting vehicles are in service in Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.
