At the same time, apparently, the version of the Russian anti-ship missile "Uran-E" produced by the local defense industry, which has the designation VCM-01, was used.
For the first time, information about the creation of such a combat vehicle appeared in the summer of 2019. At the same time, computer images of the novelty, which has four launch containers, got into the network.
Currently, units of the Naval Forces of this Southeast Asian state are operating the heavier Bal-E complexes acquired in Russia. They are installed on the platforms of four-axle MZKT-7930 vehicles with eight X-35 missiles having powerful penetrating high-explosive warheads. Depending on the modification, they can destroy various naval targets at distances from 130 to 260 km.
Last year, the International Military-Technical Forum "Army" also demonstrated the coastal tactical complex "Rubezh-ME" armed with similar means of destruction on the basis of "KamAZ - 63501 (8x8).
Its feature is the installation of a surface target detection station capable of processing up to 200 objects. The detection range of the active radar station is 250 km, passive - 450 km.
According to the developers, the complex can fight not only surface, but also various coastal targets.
