TSAMTO, January 28. The aviation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia has been replenished with modern multifunctional helicopters, which are designed to perform amphibious, fire, transport and sanitary tasks.
In connection with the adoption of new military aviation equipment, a solemn event was held at Erebuni Airport on January 25, attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Artak Davtyan, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reports.
According to media reports, the Armenian Air Force received four Mi-8MTV-5 helicopters in an assault version, the EADaily resource reports.
As EADaily reminds, last year the authorities of the republic announced plans to reform and modernize the Armenian army following the results of the war in Karabakh in September-November 2020.
