Moscow. January 28. INTERFAX - A large-scale air defense training was conducted with servicemen of the anti-aircraft missile unit of the combined arms army of the Eastern Military District (VVO) stationed in Primorsky Krai, the Russian Defense Ministry reports.
"As part of the event, calculations of anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) "Buk" repelled the attack of a conditional enemy from the air. During the event, the servicemen made a multi-kilometer march to the designated area, fulfilled the standards for topographic mapping, input of initial data, as well as the transfer of equipment to a combat position," the message on the website of the defense department says.
It is noted that the main purpose of these trainings is to check the readiness to repel a simulated enemy air raid on military facilities.
