Moscow. January 26. INTERFAX - Russia is finalizing agreements with the EurAsEC states that will not allow foreign military personnel to be on the territory of biological laboratories of these countries, will make the activities of such laboratories transparent, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.
"In the Eurasian Economic Union, the issues that should be considered should be linked to the activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, in particular, in the field of biological security," Lavrov said, speaking at the government hour in the State Duma.
"We are now completing the negotiation process with all our respective neighboring countries, where there are such laboratories, so that they are in a transparent mode, so that there are no foreign military there, because this is far from purely medicine and healthcare, these are already issues of pathogens that can be used as fighting substances," the Russian Foreign Minister added.
