MOSCOW, January 26. /tass/. The construction of the second stage of the Vostochny cosmodrome, which includes the construction of a launch complex for launching the Angara launch vehicle, is carried out around the clock. This was announced by the Director General of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin on Wednesday.
"The launch table for the heavy Angara is grandiose in scale and engineering complexity, but not the only technological structure of this kind in the second stage of the Vostochny cosmodrome. Construction is underway, it is going around the clock," Rogozin wrote in his Telegram channel.
According to the head of the state corporation, the construction should be completed by the end of the year, after which testing of technological equipment and preparation for the start of flight design tests of the new manned ship "Eagle" will begin in December 2023.
"And in the technical complex, work has begun on the preparation of technological jobs for Angara and Eagle," Rogozin added.
As part of a working trip to the cosmodrome, the Director General of Roscosmos, together with the Governor of the Amur Region Vasily Orlov, held a meeting of regional authorities and organizations of the state corporation for the development of the territory and the city of Tsiolkovsky.
As Dmitry Strugovets, head of the Roscosmos press service, said earlier on his Facebook page, the delegation of the state corporation should visit the launch pad, the facilities of the technical complex, the assembly and testing building and the storage of launch vehicle blocks.
