The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov, highly appreciated Russia's support in light of the recent attacks carried out by Houthi rebels from the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement on civilian facilities in the UAE.
The corresponding statement was published on the official website of the UAE Foreign Ministry, writes TASS.
"The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, highly appreciated Russia's position in supporting the UAE [in light of] the terrorist attacks carried out by Houthi rebels on civilian facilities in the UAE, and [indicated] during the last meeting of the UN Security Council," it says.
It is noted that during a telephone conversation with Lavrov, Al Nahyan "welcomed the strong, strategic, partnership and friendly relations between the UAE and Russia," as well as the desire of the two countries to further strengthen them in various fields.
