TSAMTO, January 25. A radio engineering regiment with a location in the Altai Territory will appear in the Central Military District by the end of this year, said the commander of the district's troops, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin.
"In order to further improve the combat strength of the district this year, in addition to creating separate electronic warfare battalions in the Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk regions, we will reorganize a separate radio battalion with a deployment in the Altai Territory into a radio engineering regiment," Lapin said.
He specified that the new units will be equipped with modern samples of special equipment: "Field-21", "Snare", "Light-KU", "Forest-steppe", "Lesochek", "Stole".
"This will double the number of objects covered from unmanned aircraft and cruise missiles," said the commander of the Central Military District.
In total, by the end of 2022, the park of special electronic warfare equipment of the military district is planned to be strengthened with 70 modern weapons for various purposes, the press service of the Central Military District reports.
