Washington. January 25. INTERFAX - The United States continues to coordinate possible steps in the light of Russia's aggravation of the situation around Ukraine not only with NATO and the OSCE, but also with a wider range of states, in particular, with members of the European Union, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said.
"He stressed that the United States will continue to closely coordinate further steps to deter Russian aggression more broadly with EU member states in addition to coordination with NATO, OSCE," the US State Department said in a statement about Blinken's virtual participation in the work of the EU Council on Foreign Affairs.
The report notes that the Secretary of State "informed his EU colleagues about his visit on January 18-21 to Kiev, Berlin and Geneva as part of US diplomatic efforts to solve the problem of Russia's unprovoked military buildup near and in Ukraine and the ongoing aggression against Ukraine."
