MOSCOW, January 25. /tass/. The first serial batch of the newest anti-personnel 40 mm grenade launchers "Balkan" was made. This was reported to TASS in the Rostec state Corporation.
"The design documentation for the Balkan complex has been issued and accepted by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for serial production. The first serial batch was made," the press service quotes the words of the industrial director of the Rostec arms cluster, Bekhan Ozdoev.
As specified in the NGO "Device" named after S. S. Golembiovsky (part of the holding "Technodinamika"), which is the developer of the grenade launcher, now the Balkan complex is undergoing extended tests for experimental military operation. Based on the results of the work, a decision will be made on the adoption of the complex for service and the deployment of large-scale serial production.
The anti-personnel grenade launcher complex 6C19 "Balkan" developed by the NGO "Device" named after S. S.Golembiovsky is the latest product in the field of domestic grenade launcher weapons. It provides an increase in the firing range by more than 25% and the power of action by two times compared to the standard 30-millimeter complexes (AGS-17 "Flame" and AGS-30).
