Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday, January 24, congratulated the staff and veterans of Tactical Missile Armament Corporation JSC on the 20th anniversary of the corporation's establishment. The telegram with the text of congratulations is published on the Kremlin's website.

The Russian leader recalled that the company is considered one of the largest domestic manufacturers of weapons and military equipment and traces its history back to the opening of the Union Plant No. 455 in Kostino near Moscow on June 3, 1942.

"And today, celebrating the anniversary of the corporation, you pay tribute to the deep gratitude to many generations of your predecessors - talented, dedicated people - scientists, designers, engineers, specialists - real, strong professionals," the message says.

Putin stressed that the current staff of the corporation continues the established labor traditions with dignity, makes a significant contribution to the development of the country's military-industrial complex and increases the combat power of the Russian Armed Forces.

"You always work thoroughly, with full dedication, boldly introduce unique technologies and innovative ideas, implement promising, truly breakthrough projects, produce high-quality, competitive products in demand in both the military and civilian spheres," the head of state noted.

On January 4, Putin held a meeting with Boris Obnosov, General Director of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation.

The head of the state corporation said that today the corporation unites 38 enterprises and 55 thousand people. According to him, the company managed to solve a number of tasks, including social ones — housing is being built for employees within walking distance from their place of work, and serious attention is also paid to the issue of personnel training, starting from school.

Obnosov noted that more than 20 different types of weapons have been created, passed state tests and adopted for the country's defense capability.

On December 20, Putin awarded the title of Hero of Russia to Obnosov for "a significant contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability and high professionalism shown in solving tasks of special national importance."
