MOSCOW, January 24 - RIA Novosti. The Tactical Missile Armament Corporation is developing mini-missiles for aircraft and ships, which the carrier will be able to take significantly more than standard ones, said the company's CEO Viktor Obnosov.
"At the moment, I believe that one of the key directions in the development of aviation and rocket technology, marine technology is the miniaturization of those products that we are working on. It is clear to everyone that if the problem can be solved, for example, with a product that weighs 100 kg instead of one ton, then, of course, more such products can be placed on the carrier and it will be more effective," Obnosov said on the air of Rossiya-24.
According to him, this is one of the most difficult tasks today for designers and developers of KTRV, as well as for the production of the corporation, because these are completely different technologies. "Intensive work is underway in this direction," he added.
KTRV specializes in the creation of air–to–air and air-to-surface missiles, including cruise missiles, for aircraft carriers, as well as cruise missiles for sea carriers and coastal complexes. In particular, the corporation produces cruise missiles "Onyx", "Zircon" and X-35.
