A new generation high-speed anti-ship missile with an extended range is being developed in Russia. This was announced in an interview with TASS by the general director of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation Boris Obnosov.
According to him, the new weapon will be distinguished by increased flight speed and increased noise immunity. In parallel, the modernization of the small-sized anti-submarine complex "Paket-NK-E" is underway. The complex can be installed on small displacement ships.
Boris Obnosov also said that the APR-3ME "Vulture" anti-submarine missile is at the stage of mass production: the first batch of weapons has already been delivered. In the future, it will be replaced by a small-sized anti-submarine missile, which will noticeably exceed the existing samples in range.
