YEKATERINBURG, January 24 - RIA Novosti. More than 1,300 units of new and upgraded weapons and military equipment will be delivered to the troops of the Central Military District in 2022, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, commander of the Central Military District, told reporters.
According to him, 17 aircraft and helicopters will be put into service to increase the combat power of the Air Force and air defense association of the district and further improve the air defense system. Also, radio engineering regiments of the Volga region and Siberia will receive eight units of new and upgraded mobile radar stations, for example, the radar "Caste 2-2", "Podlet-M", "Defense".
The Central Military District is stationed on the territory of three federal districts and 29 subjects of the Russian Federation. The district structurally includes a number of foreign facilities: the 201st military base on the territory of Tajikistan.
