According to Boris Obnosov, CEO of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation, this system is capable of hitting any surface and coastal targets
MOSCOW, January 24. /tass/. A unique system of coastal defense and protection of maritime communications has been created in Russia. This was announced in an interview with TASS in honor of the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) by the General director of KTRV Boris Obnosov.
"Currently, the command of the Russian Navy has created a unique two-link system for coastal protection, maritime communications, control of territorial waters, destruction of land and sea objects on the basis of mobile coastal missile systems (PBRK). When they are used together, especially large objects at distant approaches (up to 300 km) are hit by supersonic Bastion missiles, and starting from 260 km or less, their efforts are increased by Bal complexes," Obnosov noted.
According to him, this system is capable of hitting any surface and coastal targets. "This "duo" is capable of destroying any surface and coastal target within the affected areas. Moreover, it has a high ratio of cost and efficiency, which is important in the current conditions," explained the CEO of the corporation.
As Obnosov noted, the modernization of the Bastion complex continues. "The export-oriented version of Bastion is being modernized, and this modernization will continue. We have also created a stationary modification of the Bastion. It is characterized by increased survivability and efficiency, as well as low visibility. Small-sized ammunition cannot hit it, and for high-precision weapons it is quite well protected," said the head of KTRV.
KTRV was formed in March 2003 on the basis of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin of January 24, 2002. The Corporation became the first integrated structure of the Defense Industry of the Russian Federation, which concentrated scientific and production resources for the creation of advanced guided missiles and tactical guided missile systems.
