The Ambassador of Ukraine welcomes the resignation of Schoenbach from the post of commander of the German Navy, but considers it insufficient to restore confidence

Kiev. January 23. INTERFAX-UKRAINE - Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk considers the resignation of Kai-Achim Schoenbach from the post of commander of the German Naval Forces an insufficient step to restore full confidence in Berlin.

"Although Ukraine welcomes the timely resignation of the Commander of the German Naval Forces, Kai-Achim Schoenbach, this step is not enough to restore full confidence in German policy. The German government should change its policy towards Kiev," Melnik tweeted.
