19FortyFive: US and its allies spy planes are watching Russia
The United States and its allies only last Wednesday took ten spy planes into the air to monitor Russian troops, says the American publication 19FortyFive.
The publication notes that in total, reconnaissance aircraft from five countries took part in the events: American P-8A Poseidon, RC-12X Guardrail, RC-135W Rivet Joint and E-8 Joint STARS, British P-8A Poseidon and RC-135W Rivet Joint, Swedish S100D and S102B, German P-3C Orion and Norwegian Falcon 20ECM.
According to the publication, these planes "were in the air, tracking Russian ground, air and naval forces."
Earlier in January, 19FortyFive, commenting on the first successful landing of a variant of the aircraft with a short takeoff and vertical landing of the US Marine Corps (ILC) on the amphibious assault ship Tripoli, wrote that the American fifth-generation fighter F-35 Lightning II "continues to make history" and "scares Russia."
