Within the framework of the visiting meeting of the State Duma Committee on Defense, deputies together with experts discussed the creation, functioning and development of Patriot military-patriotic parks of culture and recreation in all military districts and in the Northern Fleet. The meeting was held in the Moscow region on the site of the Congress and Exhibition Center. It was attended by the directors of all Patriot parks and representatives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrey Kartapolov recalled that in accordance with government Decree No. 2126-r of October 3, 2018, a network of Patriot parks has been created in all military districts and in the Northern Fleet. According to the organizational and legal form, these are federal state autonomous institutions or federal state budgetary institutions.
"For the development of existing Patriot parks in the regions and the creation of new ones, it is necessary today to involve regional parliaments, executive authorities of all levels, the leadership of subjects and others," Kartapolov believes. The participants of the visiting session agreed with him.
After the exchange of views, they visited the educational and methodological center of military-patriotic education of youth "Avangard", the Main Temple of the Armed Forces and the museum complex "Memory Road".
