According to Anatoly Leukhin, Deputy Director General for Scientific Work at RTI, the implementation of the proposed algorithms in the software will ensure timely adaptation to the changing background and target environment and will significantly improve the quality of the functioning of radar stations.
MOSCOW, January 20. /tass/. Specialists of JSC "Radio Engineering Institute named after Academician A. L. Mints" (RTI) have developed new methods for monitoring aerospace and determining group targets in a complex electromagnetic environment. This was reported on Thursday in the press service of the RTI.
A new target detection algorithm has been developed for long-range detection (DO) radars and is caused by a much more complicated electromagnetic situation in the radar location area.
"Modern conditions of development require the radar to solve both new and traditional tasks without losing the quality of work. New tasks are the development of space infrastructure, which entails, first of all, the appearance of an increasing number of satellite groupings in orbits," the press service quotes the words of Anatoly Leukhin, Deputy Director General for Scientific Work at RTI.
According to him, the implementation of the proposed algorithms in the software will ensure timely adaptation to the changing background-target environment and will significantly improve the quality of radar operation.
As explained in the RTI, the developed algorithms successfully distinguish the trajectories of single targets from a group of objects in parallel and mixed motion. In addition, the processing time of information is reduced and the changing interference situation is taken into account. Also, if the power level of interference, such as the Sun, is exceeded, the algorithms can be improved.
