Two Soyuz-2 launch vehicles.1a" and the Soyuz-2.1v rocket, manufactured by the Progress Rocket and Space Center (RCC) under a state contract, were accepted by the military representation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. This was reported to the head of the military department Sergei Shoigu by the general director of the center Dmitry Baranov.
"Currently, two Soyuz-2 launch vehicles have been manufactured under government contracts.1a" and one Soyuz-2.1v launch vehicle. The products were accepted by the 5th military representation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation," Baranov said during the single day of acceptance of military products, which was held on Thursday at the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation.
According to him, the Soyuz-2.1a rocket is characterized by increased accuracy of launch and increased payload mass to 7.5 tons due to improvements in the control system and propulsion systems of the first and second stages.
The General Director of the Progress RCC recalled that in 2021, in the interests of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, four spacecraft were successfully launched into regular orbit by Soyuz rockets. As part of the state defense order, Progress RCC manufactures Soyuz family launch vehicles.
