Serial deliveries of the Zircon hypersonic cruise missile will begin in 2022. This was reported to Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu by Deputy Head of the Military Department Alexey Krivoruchko during the single day of acceptance of military products.
According to him, the state tests of the "Zircon" are being completed.
In addition, according to Krivoruchko, in the fourth quarter of 2021, the modernized Western Command Post of the Space Echelon took over the experimental combat duty. It is part of the Unified Space System (CEN) of the Missile Attack Warning System (SPRN).
According to the Deputy Minister, the department pays special attention to the development and commissioning of high-precision and hypersonic combat weapons.
