The missile unit moved to the Astrakhan region from the Krasnodar Territory
ROSTOV-ON-DON, January 20. /tass/. Units equipped with Iskander-M missile systems will conduct combat launches at the Kapustin Yar test site in the Astrakhan region. This was reported to journalists in the press service of the Southern Military District (SE).
"A missile compound equipped with the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system was raised on a training alert. More than 400 military personnel of the Southern Military District as part of units are making a multi-kilometer combined march from the point of permanent deployment to the Kapustin Yar training ground in the Astrakhan region, where they will take part in a tactical exercise with live missile launches," the message says.
It is noted that the missile compound moved to the Astrakhan region from the Krasnodar Territory. The calculations of the Iskander-M complexes will work out at least 10 combat training tasks: they will overcome the "infected" areas of the terrain, deploy the complexes and launch missile strikes against the targets of a conditional enemy.
Field training at the training ground, as stated in the press release, will last for a month. They involve about 100 units of weapons and military equipment.
