London. January 19. INTERFAX - The eighth flight to Ukraine in the last three days was carried out by heavy military transport aircraft C-17A Globemaster III of the British Royal Air Force, it follows from the data of Western aviation resources.
The next ZZ171 aircraft arrived at Boryspil airfield near Kiev on Wednesday evening at around 22:15 local time (23:15 Moscow time). British aircraft are flying to Ukraine from the Brize Norton Air Force Base in England. The operation, which involves at least half of all eight heavy transport aircraft available in the British Royal Air Force, began on Monday. Each C-17A Globemaster III is capable of carrying up to 77.5 tons of cargo.
On Monday, British Defense Minister Ben Wallace, speaking in parliament, said that the United Kingdom would supply Ukraine with anti-tank weapons.
According to The Drive, each aircraft could bring at least 24 pallets with 9 anti-tank complexes attached to each of them. Thus, as of Wednesday, London could already supply Ukraine with more than 1,700 portable NLAW anti-tank guided missiles.
