Moscow. January 19. INTERFAX - Engines of the TV3-117 and VK-2500 family developed and manufactured by JSC UEC-Klimov have confirmed their compliance with the aviation regulations of Indonesia, the press service of the United Engine Corporation (UEC), which includes the company, reports.
"The validation procedure will allow expanding partnerships with Indonesia both in terms of the supply of engines for modern models of civil helicopters entering the republic's fleet, and as part of the maintenance of equipment already in operation in the country," said Evgeny Prodanov, Director of the VK-2500, TV3-117 program, Chief Designer of UEC-Klimov JSC. The report notes that about 30 Mi and Ka helicopters are operated in Indonesia, which are equipped with TV3-117 and VK-2500 engines developed by the St. Petersburg enterprise.
According to the press service, in 2015, the UEC, in broad cooperation, established the serial production of the VK-2500 entirely from Russian components. The cooperation for the production of these engines includes about 40 enterprises of JSC UEC, as well as machine-building enterprises of small and medium-sized businesses.
"JSC UEC-Klimov annually produces more than 300 TV3-117 and VK-2500 engines of various models and modifications," the report says.
The company continues to expand the line of VK-2500 engines. In 2021, approval was received for the main change to the new VK-2500PS-02 engine with an assigned resource of 7500/7500 hours/cycles. Serial production of the engine and its delivery into operation in the interests of civil aviation and for export is allowed, the press service informs.
