YEKATERINBURG, January 19. /tass/. The number of training events for Russian troops has been increased by 10% in 2022 in the Central Military District (CVO) compared to last year - up to 900 events. The main efforts will be aimed at working out the operational deployment of troops with regrouping to other strategic directions, preparing and conducting a strategic operation, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, commander of the Central Military District, told reporters.
According to him, practical actions will take place at the training grounds of the Urals, Siberia, the Volga region, as well as at Russian military bases in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
"This year we will hold more than 900 events of combat and operational training of troops, which is almost 10% more than last year," he said.
The press service of the Central Military District added that aspects of resolving armed conflicts and stabilizing the situation in the countries of the Central Asian region will also be worked out.
The largest Central Military District in the Russian Federation is stationed on the territory of three federal districts and 29 subjects of the Russian Federation. It structurally includes: the 201st military base on the territory of Tajikistan, the joint military base in Kyrgyzstan, as well as units on the territory of Kazakhstan.
