London. January 19. INTERFAX - Another group of three Russian large amphibious ships, having passed the Great Belt Strait, left the Baltic for the North Sea, a representative of the Swedish armed forces said.
According to the press secretary of the Swedish Armed Forces, Jonas Olsson, the ships passed through the strait on Tuesday. "They came out in the afternoon, passing under the bridge over the Great Belt Strait," he told Dagens Nyheter.
Jonnas Olsson noted that now all six BDK of the Russian Navy that were in the Baltic Sea have left its waters.
As reported by the head of the Joint Operations Department of the Swedish Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Michael Claesson, three large amphibious ships of the Russian Navy also left the Baltic on Monday.
In an interview with Sveriges Radio, he pointed out that Russian amphibious ships left the Baltic with cargo. At the same time, the general noted that the destination of their campaign is unknown.
Meanwhile, photos of Russian ships that passed through the Danish Straits on Tuesday appeared on social networks. Observers claim that these were the "Olenegorsky Miner", "George the Victorious" and "Peter Morgunov", who had previously come to the Baltic from the Northern Fleet.
On Monday, the passage of three Russian BDK was recorded by a webcam installed on the bridge over the Bolshoy Belt Strait, which connects the Danish islands of Funen and Zealand. Among the ships were "Korolev", "Minsk" and "Kaliningrad". These are all BDK that are currently in service as part of the Baltic Fleet.
