Spacecraft launches will take place in March and September 2022
YEKATERINBURG, January 19. /tass/. Specialists of the search and rescue and Parachute Landing Service (PS and PDS) of the Central Military District (CVO) have begun preparing to ensure the safety of launches and landings of Soyuz MS spacecraft, which will take place in March and September 2022, during training camps in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the conditions of the Siberian taiga. This is stated in a message distributed on Wednesday by the press service of the district.
"The personnel of the aviation rescuers, as part of the training camp launched in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, began preparing to participate in four operations to ensure the safety of spacecraft launches and landings. In the conditions of the Siberian taiga, military rescuers will practice parachuting from a Mi-8 helicopter from extremely low and medium altitudes from 200 to 2,500 meters to sites of limited size, as well as non-parachute landing from a helicopter," the report says.
In addition, a young flight crew will undergo parachute training. The lieutenants will work out the forced abandonment of the aircraft and landing with the help of a D-1-5U parachute.
The training camps will be completed in the first half of February, involving young flight personnel, aviation rescuers, paramedics and pilots of the Mi-8 military transport helicopter. In 2022, aviation rescuers will take part in search and rescue support for the launches of the Soyuz MS-21 and Soyuz MS-22 spacecraft, as well as the landings of the descent vehicles of the Soyuz MS-19 and Soyuz MS-21 spacecraft.
