MOSCOW, January 18 - RIA Novosti. As part of the inspection of the reaction forces of the Union State, which will take place in two stages and will end on February 20, 12 Su-35 aircraft, two divisions of S-400 air defense systems and a division of Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and gun systems will be relocated to the territory of Belarus from Russia, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin said.
According to him, the first stage of verification is until February 9. During this period, it is planned to redeploy and create groups of troops (forces) in a short time in the designated areas, the organization of the protection and defense of important state and military facilities, the protection of the state border of the Union State in the airspace, including within the framework of the Unified Regional Air Defense System of Belarus and Russia. The readiness of the air defense forces to carry out tasks to cover important objects on the territory of Belarus will also be checked.
"As part of the verification of the functioning of the unified air defense system of the Union State, 12 Su-35s will be relocated to the Belarusian territory, two divisions of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system, as well as the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon division will be relocated," Fomin said.
At this stage, control classes on fire training and other training subjects will be held with units and military units of the Eastern Military District and the Armed Forces of Belarus, tactical exercises will be held at various training grounds to work out issues of conducting defense and combating illegal armed formations, he noted.
He stressed that the number of participants in the exercise, as well as the number of main weapons systems, do not exceed the parameters defined by the Vienna Document of 2011, which are subject to notification.
