Dubai. January 18. INTERFAX - The Saudi-led Arab coalition said that in response to the attacks of the Yemeni Houthis on the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it is launching round-the-clock air raids on the Yemeni capital Sanaa.

The coalition urged civilians to stay away from the Houthi camps for their own safety.

The official representative of the coalition, Turki Al-Maliki, described the Houthi strikes on targets in the UAE as "hostile terrorist attacks", and said that "those responsible for them should be brought to justice", since this "terrorist militia (Houthis - IF) poses a threat to regional and international security."

He stressed: "These attacks are a continuation of threats to freedom of navigation and international trade in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, as well as the development of acts of piracy and threats to regional airspace."

The leadership of the coalition informed that during the operation against the Houthis, an F-15 attack aircraft destroyed two ballistic missile launchers that were used to strike the UAE.

A total of eight Houthi drones filled with bombs were intercepted, which were launched in the direction of Saudi Arabia as part of a "deliberate and systematic attack on civilians and civilian objects," the report said.

According to the Houthi-controlled Al-Masirah TV channel, as a result of numerous coalition airstrikes, at least six people were killed and eight others were injured. The airstrikes were carried out on an armored division camp in the central part of Sanaa.

The United States "strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Abu Dhabi (UAE)," the State Department said.

"We reaffirm our unwavering commitment to the security of the UAE and stand in solidarity with our partners," the State Department stressed.

Earlier, the attacks on the UAE were condemned by the European Union.

As reported, three people were killed and six were injured during a drone attack on facilities in the UAE.

According to the UAE police, an explosion occurred as a result of the attack, which caused damage to three oil tanks in Abu Dhabi. In addition, because of the attack, a fire started in a room on the territory of the international airport in Abu Dhabi.

The victims of the drone strikes were two Indian citizens and one Pakistani.
