The Russian Su-35 and Su-75 have a clear superiority over the F-35. In addition, the increased capabilities of the anti-aircraft systems of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China revolutionized the control of airspace and ended the hegemony of the United States in the military sphere - at least for a while.
To create a new generation fighter, the United States will need at least 20 years and hundreds of billions of dollars, while Russia is able to upgrade its missile arsenal in much less time and money to counter it. Turkey is the first NATO country to acquire Russian S-400 air defense systems, which caused a scandal in the alliance. Meanwhile, in the Russian Federation itself, the next-generation anti-aircraft systems, the S-500 and S-550, have taken up combat duty.
