"We have completely changed the approaches to insurance. Today, all space risks are insured with the lowest tariffs in the history of cosmonautics, despite the fact that there are many accidents in the world," Ovchinnikov said on the air of the program "Big Space" on the channel " Roscosmos TV " on YouTube.
In early September, Roscosmos told TASS that the state corporation managed to save over 450 million rubles in 2019-2020 when insuring missile launches. In particular, the process was influenced by the trouble-free start-ups. Later, Ovchinnikov, during the plenary session of the Marathon of Innovators, noted that the state corporation was able to save 800 million rubles from the federal budget due to the revision of the insurance activity processes.
