A group of enthusiasts-testers of small arms from the United States filmed a unique test of one of the modifications of the Kalashnikov assault rifle - AK-105, which is also used by the Russian special purpose group "Alpha". The presented "rifle", as the author calls it, is very different from the well-known AK, and therefore it is extremely interesting to watch this test.
The video begins with a staged joke scene shot in the genre of "Star Wars", where shields with portraits of bandits act as "terrorists", and enthusiasts armed with AK-105 act as positive heroes. "Terrorists" shoot with lasers, and "heroes" shoot back with Kalashnikovs.
But that's where the jokes end and ahead is the actual test of an amazing weapon. The author of the video tells in detail what improvements the machine has received, and compares it with the "standard" AK. Here we are talking not only about more modern body kits and ergonomics, beautiful appearance, but also about the volume of the shot, the length of the barrel, the smoothness of the shutter and the connection of the magazine.
The fact is that in the AK-105 the barrel is shortened by several centimeters, but this did not affect the quality of ballistics at all, on the contrary. At the same time, the discharge tube of the powder gases pushing the shutter is hidden behind the body kits, and it is not visible. Gunsmiths have managed to achieve truly unsurpassed ergonomics.
- I think it was pure providence that the gas tube on the AK-100 series rifles was so long that when shortened, the rifle barrel was 12.4 inches (31.5 centimeters in the Russian metric system), - says the author of the video. - Even more interesting for me is that the AK-100 series rifles were intended exclusively for export, but some models quickly found themselves in the official armament of Mother Russia.
When measuring the volume of a shot from a machine gun, experts pay attention that it is a little quieter than other modifications. Special attention was paid to the smoothness of the shutter stroke and the ease of attaching a magazine with cartridges. She really surprises even from a distance - just looking at the video.
And, of course, the telescopic butt, which can be easily adjusted in a way that is convenient for a fighter, is beyond praise.
During the entire test, the author of the video openly admires this development of Russian designers several times - the AK-105 "rifle" - and calls it his favorite weapon, which has no equal in the whole world.
