TSAMTO, January 14. About 3 thousand samples of weapons and equipment are planned to be delivered to the troops of the Southern Military District in 2022, said the commander of the troops of the Southern Military District, Army General Alexander Dvornikov.
"This year it is planned to deliver about three thousand samples, including 1180 modern ones. These are 27 aircraft, 37 helicopters, five warships and boats, anti-aircraft missile systems, ground-based radio equipment, armored vehicles and RAV, special equipment of various kinds, troops and services," the commander of the Southern Military District said.
The army General noted that by the end of the year, the share of the district's provision with modern weapons and military equipment will reach 72%.
"In the construction subsystem, special attention this year will be directed to the completion of the arrangement of the Caspian Flotilla and the Novorossiysk Naval Base, as well as to the construction of newly formed military units and service housing for military personnel and their families," the press service of the Southern Military District quotes A.
