TSAMTO, January 13. The units of the Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Eastern Military District, stationed in the Khabarovsk Territory, received new radar stations (radars) last year.
The "Casta" and "Niobium" radars are capable of functioning both under normal conditions and in a complex interference environment and allow obtaining objective information about aircraft flights, determining their coordinates and identifying aerial targets at different altitude ranges.
The new radars provide the coordinates of aircraft and the parameters of their movement to the air defense control systems, simultaneously to two consumers via radio channels and a cable communication line, with the possibility of digital-analog interface.
The Kasta radar is a mobile three-coordinate radar station with a circular view. The station can be used as an air traffic control and airspace control radar in airfield zones.
The Niobium radar station represents a further development of the Nebo family systems, the development of which began in the second half of the eighties. The radar is designed to monitor the airspace, detect various targets and determine their coordinates, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
