The Peter the Great RVSN Academy was the first among Russian universities to train specialists in military and special purpose robotics.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that for high-quality training of personnel in a fundamentally new direction, academy scientists have developed a federal state educational standard "Robotics for military and special purposes" and approved it in the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
"The educational institution has a research laboratory equipped with advanced training systems and simulators, various interactive services and multimedia programs using modern computer technology," the Defense Ministry said. It is also reported that information systems with extensive multimedia capabilities and 3D modeling are being introduced into the training system of military specialists of the Strategic Missile Forces. This allows teachers and cadets to reach a qualitatively new level of preparation and mastering of educational material.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation clarified that the cadets of the academy will master the military robotic complexes themselves in senior courses. Moreover, during their training in the management and operation of such equipment, they will take into account the wide possibilities of promising robotic systems and advanced developments in this field. Upon graduation from the academy, graduates will be awarded not only the rank of lieutenant, but also the qualification of "engineer"
And the Military Academy of the Peter the Great Strategic Missile Forces will continue to train specialists in the application, operation and scientific and technical support of existing and promising automated control systems and intelligent weapons systems of Strategic Missile Forces.
According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, now more than 4 thousand cadets and about 200 trainees are trained in educational programs of higher military operational and tactical training at the RVSN Academy and its branch.
