S-400 Triumph systems, Pantsir-S complexes, helicopters, as well as personnel will take part in the parade on Palace Square to commemorate the 78th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from the blockade during the Great Patriotic War. This was reported to journalists on Wednesday in the press service of the Western Military District.
"Launchers of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system, combat vehicles of the Pantsir-S anti-aircraft missile and cannon complexes of the association will parade through the Palace Square. And combat vehicles of the operational-tactical and army aviation of the army will fly over the city in the sky," the district said.
Combat crews began rehearsals at the end of last year.
In January 2022, St. Petersburg will celebrate the 79th anniversary of the breaking of the blockade and the 78th anniversary of the complete liberation of the city. On the day of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade, on January 27, traditional wreath-laying ceremonies will take place at the Piskarevskoye cemetery and at other burial sites.
