Boris Obnosov told the head of state about the activities and main successes of KTRV
NOVO-OGAREVO, January 4. /tass/. The Tactical Missile Armament Corporation (KTRV) has managed to preserve the basic enterprises and develop them over two decades of existence, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with the company's CEO Boris Obnosov.
"January marks the 20th anniversary of the corporation's creation. <...> At the first stage, it was possible to preserve the basic enterprises - the core of the future corporation, but then to develop it," Putin said.
Obnosov told the head of state about the activities and main successes of KTRV. At the same time, as Putin noted, it is "quite difficult for a corporation to develop a civilian part." Obnosov agreed with this, but gave an example of products made from composite materials, for example, artificial joints or pipes for thermal power plants.
At the end of December, the President awarded Obnosov the title of Hero of Russia "for his significant contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability and high professionalism shown in solving tasks of special national importance."
Tactical Missile Armament Corporation is one of the largest Russian defense industrial holdings. 100% of the corporation's shares are owned by the Federal Property Management Agency. The headquarters of KTRV is located in Korolev, near Moscow.
The Corporation was formed in March 2003 on the basis of the decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated January 24, 2002. The core of the association was the state research and production center "Zvezda-Strela", a rocket development company that has been leading its history since 1924. Later, a number of specialized design bureaus and factories were included in the KTRV.
