Rostov-on-Don. January 3. INTERFAX - In 2022, the troops of the Southern Military District plan to hold more than 3 thousand combat training events, the press service of the Southern Military District reported on Monday.
"In total, in the new year, more than 3 thousand combat training events are planned to be held in the troops of the Southern Military District, where the issues of creating and using groups in operational areas will be worked out. The main event of combat and operational training of the Southern Military District troops in the fall of 2022 will be a bilateral command and staff exercise with groups of troops in the South-Western strategic direction," the message says.
It is noted that the main directions of combat training of the forces of the military district in the 2022 academic year are to improve the combat training of management bodies and units, ensuring the introduction of new forms and methods of actions of units in combat training during tactical exercises and classes.
In the 2021 academic year, more than 4.7 thousand basic combat training events were held in the formations and military units of the Southern Military District.
Out of 2.5 thousand combat training events in combined-arms units of the Southern Military District, more than 1.6 thousand combat firing squads, more than 500 combat firing platoons, about 200 company tactical exercises, 60 battalion tactical exercises and 16 tactical exercises of the regiment, brigade, division level were conducted last academic year.
