Moscow. January 2. INTERFAX - A special forces unit in the Krasnodar Territory has been equipped with new short-range reconnaissance stations and radar stations (radars), the press service of the Southern Military District reported.
"A batch of 5 sets of modern short-range reconnaissance (SBR) stations "Fara" and radar stations "Sobolyatnik" have entered service with a special forces unit of the Southern Military district stationed in the Krasnodar Territory," the press service said.
According to the headquarters of the Southern Military District, the new equipment will allow military personnel to monitor stationary and mobile enemy objects, determining their main parameters, detect and accompany moving objects against the background of the earth and water surface.
"One of the features of the Sobolyatnik station is the ability to track artillery shells in flight on the trajectory, which allows you to determine the places of the shot and fall. The information received is transmitted to the command post for a retaliatory strike, as well as for adjusting artillery fire," the press service said.
They noted that, if necessary, several stations can be combined into a common network with simultaneous collaboration and data delivery to consumers.
