"As part of the orbital grouping of Russian spacecraft today there are more than 160 spacecraft for various purposes," the ministry noted. - During the past year, the on-duty forces of the G.S. Titov GICC performed with high accuracy all the planned control sessions of the spacecraft of the Russian orbital grouping, about 60 percent of which is controlled by the ground-based automated control complex of the Space Forces of the Aerospace Forces.
The Defense Ministry said that a new generation of command and measurement systems is currently being developed. They are going to re-equip individual command and measurement complexes of the Center. And the commissioning of unified command and measurement facilities will allow us to switch to new technologies for controlling satellites of the Russian orbital grouping and reduce the list of modifications of technical controls of previous generations several times.
