The Russian Defense Ministry will launch three "Hangars" in 2022 from Plesetsk
The Russian Defense Ministry plans to launch three Angara space rockets with satellites in 2022, a source told RIA Novosti .
In total, the Ministry of Defense will launch three Angara missiles from Plesetsk in 2022 – two heavy Angara-A5 and one light Angara-1.2. They will put satellites into orbit, and there are no plans to launch payload models anymore.
According to the source, the Briz-M upper stage will be used as part of heavy missiles.
Earlier it was reported that the Angara-A5 rocket, launched on December 27 from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in the Arkhangelsk region, was taken for support by ground means of the Russian Aerospace Forces. This is the third test launch of the Angara-A5 heavy class launch vehicle. In December 2020, it put 2.4 tons of cargo into geostationary orbit during the launch.
