Helicopter Hill Helicopters
The British company Hill Helicopters presented the concept of an innovative helicopter of the XXI century, focused exclusively on private owners – the NH50.
According to the company's CEO Jason Hill, the device should combine luxury and the most advanced technologies. Moreover, future owners will be offered to take part in the assembly of the helicopter themselves for two weeks at the manufacturer's factory under the supervision of specialists. The five-seat NH50 will be equipped with a turboprop economical GT50 engine with high efficiency and long service life. Its design capacity is 400 hp, but in an emergency situation within 30 seconds it will be able to develop an effort of 500 hp. The GT50's working life between major repairs is 5000 hours.

Starting the engine is simplified as much as possible, thanks to the state-of-the-art on-board electronics. To do this, the pilot just needs to press the button. Tactile feedback is also integrated into the control system. The cockpit has a touch screen, somewhat reminiscent of a car dashboard. At the disposal of the owner of the NH50 are two giant 15-inch panels, configurable in several modes, depending on the desire of those sitting in the front seats. In the center of the cabin there is a large touchscreen connected to GPS and autopilot, which gives passengers the opportunity to launch their favorite navigation applications. The helicopter will be equipped with a three-bladed carrier and closed tail screws. It will be able to reach speeds of up to 260 km/h, fly at a range of about 1300 km and carry cargo up to 800 kg. The price of the NH50 is about $ 665,000. Last week, 342 pre-orders were already paid, which indicates a great interest in the new generation rotorcraft.
