MOSCOW, December 30. /tass/. More than 10 samples of military equipment were delivered in 2021 to the only Russian Museum of Fireworks and Fireworks in Vatutinki. This was reported to journalists on Thursday in the press service of the Western Military District.
"During the year, two command posts were received, a Soviet 203-mm self-propelled gun 2S7 ACS "Peony", a Soviet 240-mm mortar 2S4 "Tulip", a Soviet anti-aircraft self-propelled gun "Shilka", a six-pound ship cannon, a culverin of the XV century and other samples of military equipment," the district said.
The military carried out a number of restoration works to replace faulty parts and mechanisms, eliminated the corrosion of parts of the gun, and also completely painted new exhibits. Information about the history of creation and tactical and technical characteristics of each weapon has been prepared for the guests of the museum.
The only Museum of Fireworks and Fireworks in Russia opened in October 2017. In total, the exhibition complex has more than 1,200 unique exhibits: artillery pieces, ground and ship salute installations, control panels, maps, photographs and a rare collection of fireworks products of various calibers and colors. The museum is located on the territory of the 449th Separate Guards Salute Division named after Marshal of Artillery V. M. Mikhalkin and is open to the public.
