TSAMTO, December 30. The complex of command fire control vehicles for towed and rocket artillery was developed and manufactured in cooperation by a number of enterprises included in the system of the State Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus.
The complex is designed for reconnaissance and fire control of the towed and rocket artillery division, for continuous and close interaction with combined arms units, serving units of aerial, radar, sound and optical reconnaissance and meteorological units.
The complex includes 8 units of automotive equipment:
- division commander's control vehicle based on the mobile vehicle "Cayman";
- 3 battery commander control vehicles based on the mobile vehicle "Cayman";
- the control vehicle of the Chief of Staff (command and staff vehicle) of the division on the MZKT-500200 automobile chassis with a KUNG;
- 3 control vehicles of the senior battery officer on the MZKT-500200 automobile chassis with KUNG.
Command control vehicles (CMU) are equipped with modern technological equipment with high tactical and technical characteristics.
The set of equipment includes PCs and printers, digital radio equipment, automatic weather stations, air conditioning systems.
The hardware and software complex on board the machines provides:
- a significant reduction in the time for conducting fire preparation and control activities and the possibility of automated data exchange with various control points;
- the ability to conduct enemy reconnaissance around the clock and in conditions of limited visibility;
- the ability to automatically determine the coordinates of the target (object), determine the initial data for firing and transfer them to the commanders of guns (rocket artillery combat vehicles);
- a significant increase in the reliability of the fire control system and artillery units.
The complex unfolds into a combat position in 3 minutes, collapses into a marching position in 5 minutes.
In conditions of limited visibility (at night), the observation range is up to 10 thousand m. The rangefinder, which is part of the equipment of the complex, allows measuring ranges in the range from 110 to 20 thousand m, providing illumination of targets at distances from 300 to 7 thousand m. The complex also has a portable rangefinder "Kaponir".
