Moscow. December 30. INTERFAX - The personnel of the Russian military base (RVB) stationed on the territory of Tajikistan in 2021 conducted more than 300 anti-terrorist exercises on the territory of the republic, the Central Military District (CVO) reported on Thursday.
"More than 300 counter-terrorism exercises were held in 2021 at the Russian military base in Tajikistan," informs the headquarters of the Central Military District.
In particular, anti-terror units practiced actions to repel attacks by conditional gangs on military camps in Dushanbe and Bokhtar, the Lyaur and Sambuli training grounds, ammunition depots, military equipment parks and other military facilities, the press release said.
"The servicemen also performed tasks for the defense of strategically important objects, the liberation of buildings seized by conditional "terrorists", the detection, encirclement and neutralization of illegal armed formations within the garrisons," the report says.
The 201st military base stationed in Tajikistan is the largest military facility of the Russian Federation outside of its borders. It is located in two cities - Dushanbe and Bokhtar. The RVB includes motorized rifle, tank, artillery, reconnaissance units, air defense units, RCB protection and communications.
