On December 26, 2021, in the Indian city of Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the new Manufacturing Center of the Russian-Indian joint venture BrahMos Aerospace with the participation of the country's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

According to the company's press release, BrahMos-NG missiles will be manufactured at the new site. It is expected that the center will be ready to start production in the next two to three years and will be able to produce about 80-100 missiles a year.
This production facility has become part of the so-called Defense Industrial Corridor, a manufacturing cluster for the development of which the Indian government expects to attract about $ 3 billion.
