Moscow. December 29. INTERFAX - A command and staff exercise of two armies is planned in the west of Russia next year, as well as an operational exercise of the Baltic Fleet grouping, Commander of the Western Military District (ZVO) Alexander Zhuravlev said.
"The pinnacle of combat and operational training in 2022 will be a bilateral command and staff exercise with the participation of two associations of the district and an operational exercise with a grouping of forces of the Baltic Fleet," Zhuravlev said in an interview with the newspaper of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation "Red Star".
In 2022, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation will also hold a strategic exercise "Vostok-2022". In 2018, according to official data, about 300 thousand servicemen - almost a third of the Russian army - were involved in strategic maneuvers "Vostok-2018".
