TSAMTO, December 28. The German company Grob Aircraft has begun to supply the Bangladesh Air Force Command with G-120TP basic training aircraft ordered in June 2021.
Although the parties do not officially confirm the delivery, judging by the photos published by various online publications, the company sent at least ten new aircraft to the customer in December of this year.
In addition, as reported on December 27, the resource Defseca.com, the Bangladesh Armed Forces Command has signed an additional agreement with Grob Aircraft for the supply of two G-115E training aircraft for the Air Force Academy. The agreement also includes the supply of spare parts, simulators, training, maintenance and technology transfer for the production of spare parts in Bangladesh.
As reported by TSAMTO, in June 2021, the Bangladesh Air Force Command signed a contract with the German company Grob Aircraft for the supply of 24 G-120TP training aircraft, as well as the transfer of related technologies. As planned, Grob Aircraft will deliver 24 G-120TP aircraft to the Bangladesh Air Force by the end of 2022 and will build two workshops, including a workshop for repairing composite components and a workshop for repairing propellers. In addition, the agreement provides for the supply of computer simulators.
The maximum take-off weight of the G-120TP is 1515 kg. The aircraft is equipped with a Rolls Royce M250-B17F engine, a five-bladed propeller and develops a speed of 439 km/h. With a fuel reserve of 360 liters, the aircraft can stay in the air for 5 hours with a reserve of 45 minutes.
