General Biden: the "bad guys" from Russia are experts in conducting hybrid warfare
The Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces, General Mikael Biden, in an interview with the American edition of Defense News, spoke about the Russian approach to waging war in modern conditions.
"These are modern capabilities and technologies, such as electronic warfare and unmanned platforms," the military said.
According to him, the "bad guys" from Russia are experts in conducting hybrid warfare, combining, in particular, the direct use of weapons with diplomatic or economic tools. "It can also be information operations," the general added.
According to him, Sweden is ready to support Ukraine "up to the practical level." The general also noted that Stockholm cooperates in this matter primarily with Norway, Denmark and Finland, as well as with the United States.
Biden confirmed that the financing of the Swedish defense budget will be increased by 40 percent, and what is called the national "wartime organization" will number about 100 thousand people by 2030.
In November, the Military-Industrial Courier wrote that the troops of the Western Military District, who received Iskander-M operational and tactical missile systems, acquired the ability to effectively defeat strategic targets of a potential enemy at considerable distances. The territories of Ukraine, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Denmark, Sweden and Finland completely fell into the affected zone.
