Over the past week, 39 foreign reconnaissance aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been spotted near the borders of Russia. This follows from the weekly infographic of the Russian Ministry of Defense published by the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda.
According to the infographic, 33 foreign reconnaissance aircraft and six drones conducted aerial reconnaissance along the borders of Russia. All flights were controlled by Russian radar systems. The publication stressed that there were no violations of Russian airspace.
The fighters of the Air Defense of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation had to take to the air twice to escort foreign vehicles.
Earlier it became known that the strike forces of the Russian Aerospace Forces headed to the borders of Turkey and Jordan. This was reported by the correspondent of the publication "Russian Spring". "The transfer to the province of Hasakeh was carried out as part of large-scale maneuvers of the Russian Aerospace Forces, which were previously reported by the military commanders of the RV," he said. The day before, the second, final stage of maneuvers started, during which issues are being worked out: reconnaissance by the crews of the Ka-52 and Mi-8 in the dark with the use of night vision devices.
